Views & Import/Export
Saved filters/sorts, CSV/Excel import, and CSV/JSON export
Views let you look at the same table different ways, and import/export move data in and out.
Views
A view is a saved combination of filters + sort + visible columns over the same underlying records. The data is shared; only the presentation differs.
- Filter by field values (status = open, created this week, amount > 100).
- Sort by one or more fields.
- Choose columns to show and hide.
- Save several views for different jobs — "Open tickets", "My records", "This month" — and switch between them.
Views keep large tables usable: instead of scrolling everything, you look at the slice you need.
Import
Bring existing data in from CSV or Excel:
- Upload the file.
- Map its columns to your table's fields.
- Import — rows are validated against field types (and unique constraints), so bad rows are reported rather than silently corrupting the table.
Export
Export a table (or a filtered view) to CSV or JSON for backups, reporting, or moving data elsewhere.
Querying programmatically
For automated access, use the Data Tables API: filter, sort, and paginate records, and create/update/delete them. Prefer filtered, paginated queries over fetching an entire large table.
Working with the rest of the platform
- Agents can look up and update records as a tool.
- Workflows can read/write records as actions.
- Forms can store submissions directly into a table.
- Apps bind components to a table (or a specific view) for a live UI.
