Scheduling
Targets, intervals/cron, timezone-aware runs, max-runs, and run-now
This page covers defining when a task runs — the target, the schedule, timezones, and limits.
The target
A scheduled task runs one of:
- an agent with a fixed prompt, or
- a workflow.
Pick the target when you create the task. You can also create a schedule directly from an agent's Schedule tab.
The schedule
Choose how often it fires:
- Interval — every N minutes/hours/days.
- Cron-style — precise recurring times (e.g. weekdays at 9:00).
The console shows the next run time so you can confirm it's what you meant before saving.
Timezone-aware
Schedules are evaluated in the timezone you select, not UTC. "Every day at 9:00 AM" fires at 9 AM in that timezone, and daylight-saving shifts are handled for you. Always set the timezone explicitly so runs fire when you expect — this is the single most common source of "it ran at the wrong time" confusion.
Limits
- Max runs — optionally stop the task after N total runs (useful for a fixed campaign or a temporary job).
- Disable a task to pause it without deleting it.
Run now
Run now triggers an immediate execution without disturbing the schedule — the next scheduled run time is unaffected. Use it to test a task's prompt or workflow before relying on the cadence.
